Dear Family & Friends,

As many of you are aware our son, Luke Thomas Gilligan, is a brain cancer survivor.  He was treated at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia when he was one year old.  He spent the first few years of his life in the hospital enduring brain surgery, high dose chemo, stem cell transplant, numerous procedures, MRIs and cat scans. I am thrilled to report he will be turning 10 this summer and we are so very thankful.   However he suffers many after effects of treatment.  He is still tube fed and has severe to profound hearing loss.  He also suffers from a lot of learning, social and sensory issues.    All issues due to the cancer itself or the treatment used.

As a family we are committed to giving back and helping to raise awareness and funds for Pediatric Brain Cancer Research.  Once again we have teamed up with the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia  and formed our own fundraising team called "Luke Forward" because we are looking forward to a cure and improved treatment.  On Sunday May 17th we will be running the Morristown Superhero Half Marathon in honor of Luke and all of the children fighting brain cancer.   We decided on the Superhero half as Luke has been our Superhero from day one as he endured so much in the first few years of his life and beat all the odds.   He was often called Superman during the many days he was in the hospital and many continue to call him superman now as he works so hard every day to make strides in so many areas.

Thank you all in advance for helping with our fundraising efforts by forwarding this site to your friends and family.  If you would like to join our team and participate in the Superhero Half Marathon please let me know and I will send you all of the registration information.   Please support us and the children by donating directly to CHOP through this "Luke Forward" team website at
