2021 31-Day Challenge

For the month of May I'm participating in the 31-Day Challenge at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). I've pledged to run 100 miles in 31 days to support the uncovered and unaffordable expenses for a family who currently has a patient suffering from idiopathic scoliosis.

On March 2nd 2012, I underwent spinal fusion surgery on my T3 - T11 vertebrae due to idiopathic scoliosis. While that surgery was structurally successful, I got to a point where I had to undergo a hardware removal procedure on December 4th 2020 due to a chronic pain condition.  Since this surgery, I have been blessed with a pain free lifestyle. CHOP changed my life medically from age ten through age twenty-two. However, CHOP will continue to change my life beyond my current age due to the life changing miracles that occur in the hospital on a daily basis. Dr. Sankar and his P.A. Theresa Mcintosh, as well as my anesthesiologist Dr. Singh recently changed my outlook on life after my December 4th procedure due to their unmatched care and open hearts. Considering the fact that I aged out of pediatrics four years ago, these doctors did not need to accept me back for treatment, but they did. These doctors took me back into their care because they genuinely wanted to see me live my best, pain-free life. The time for breakthroughs is now. CHOP is on the cusp of life-changing discoveries in order to help children around the world. I am raising money because I want to help make today’s innovative ideas, tomorrow’s realities. I want every child to have equal access to the healthcare that they need in order to life a healthy and fulfilled lifestyle. I want to help support families who are not as fortunate as mine in their ability to support the well-being and healing of their children. I owe much of my life and accomplishments to CHOP and all of the team members there. I will always be eternally grateful for the unmatched care that I have received at CHOP for the past

Please consider supporting me and the children at CHOP by making a tax-deductible donation as I take on my challenge to raise money for kids at CHOP. You can also join me along with thousands of others across the country and get active during May with the 31-Day Challenge.
