I am raising money to help conquer childhood cancer and support groundbreaking research at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). Join me today — because cancer breakthroughs begin at CHOP!

Why this is important to me:

Lacey was diagnosed with B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (B-ALL) in November 2021, the day after her 6th birthday. CHOP has been with us the whole way and thanks to the profound research and work done by CHOP’s cancer center and oncology team, Lacey’s prognosis is overwhelmingly positive and much different than it may have been just 50 years ago. (Her cancer happens to be one of the most common, well-studied and treated at CHOP.) This gives us so much hope, and we want this to be true for every child facing cancer.

Someone else that's been with Lacey every step of the way is her stuffed Panda, aptly named, Pandy. :) He was there at diagnosis, has travelled to every ER and hospital stay, comforts Lacey at clinic appointments, and snuggles next to her every night. Lacey treasures her fuzzy little sidekick Pandy, and so chose our team name, Lacey's Pandas. — To be a panda is to be a support buddy!

Please join us in fundraising and participating in the Parkway run to help CHOP continue its life-saving research. If you can’t make it, consider joining virtually or donating. Thank you so much for your support! It truly means everything.

Love,

Lacey, Charlotte, Jess & Brian Baskin

Here’s some more info from CHOP:

BREAKTHROUGHS ARE UPON US: Every day, CHOP’s Cancer Center team is redefining what a cancer diagnosis means for a child. The center offers the most advanced therapies available anywhere in the world, including cutting-edge clinical trials that reprogram the body’s own immune system to fight cancer. CHOP’s Center for Childhood Cancer Research is one of the most distinguished research programs in the nation.

How You Can Help:

MAKE AN IMMEDIATE IMPACT TODAY: 100% of every donation to the 2022 Parkway Run & Walk, presented by Citadel, will help CHOP make important breakthroughs in understanding the causes of childhood cancer, developing new treatments that will improve outcomes for children, and one day may lead to a cure for childhood cancer. Thank you for your support!
