I’m raising money to help fight childhood cancer and fund lifesaving research and innovative care at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.  Join me to help CHOP make a difference today!

Why this is so important to me:

Patients Need Us
Parents shouldn’t have to hear the words “your child has cancer.”

Ella was finishing her kindergarten year at Brooke Elementary School and was very involved in dance and soccer when she was diagnosed with a rare form of soft tissue cancer called Rhabdomyosarcoma. The day she was diagnosed, May 31, 2016, changed our entire family’s lives forever. Just a month before Ella celebrated her 6th birthday she received her first round of chemotherapy. This began what has been a very courageous, resilient and emotional nine month journey. Shortly afterwards, in week 12, Ella underwent a surgical procedure to remove her main tumor and then, in week 20, she started 6 long weeks of radiation. Ella finished her treatment plan in April and is doing very well.  She has been such a true inspiration to us all.

This long, life-changing journey and the encouraging results that Ella has received wouldn’t have been possible without all of the skilled doctors, surgeons, nurses, social workers and child life specialists that have cared for Ella. They have all treated her with such love and compassion and we will be forever indebted to this wonderful group of people.  They are true heroes to all the children and their families that have to deal with this terrible disease.
