Each year EA runs an experiential learning session called J-Term. During this session, teachers organize and teach something outside of the normal school curriculum. One of these classes plans and runs a Dance-a-thon to support CHOP (Children's Hospital of Philadelphia); this is their second year, and this year, we who CHOP WOOD are proud to team up with them to support such a wonderful cause.
CHOP WOOD is a class I taught on mindfulness/meditation and chopping wood. 13 students, another teacher, and I spent a week learning about mindfulness, practicing meditation, and chopping wood. But, we weren't just chopping to chop; we were chopping FOR CHOP. Over the course of a week, we chopped 10 cords of wood which we sold to support CHOP (Children's Hospital of Philadelphia) in conjunction with EA's Dance-a-thon.
So now, we are asking if you would be willing to donate to this truly great cause. Anything you can give is appreciated, and all the donations are tax deductible. Thank you for the support, and if you could, please spread the word about our fundraiser.
