Team Captain Landy's Express For A Cure 2018 Walk for Hope

Hi Everyone!

Hop Aboard Landy's Express For A Cure! (TooT - TooT)

And join us on our journey toward a cure for IBD!

Why We Are Walking:

Our little Landy has been struggling with Crohn's Disease for most of his life. For a long time we were at a crossroads trying to figure out what was causing Landen's pain. If you are a parent, you can imagine how horrible it is to see your child suffer and not be able to help them, especially, when their illness is a mystery. After the results of a colonoscopy, Landen's doctor's referred us to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia's Center for Pediatric Inflammatory Bowel Disease. This was such a blessing. Landen is now under the care of the BEST pediatric gastroenterologist doctors, genetic doctors, nurses, nutritionists, social workers, researchers and staff, who as a team are helping us and Landen not only understand what IBD is and how it affects Landen, but also how to manage this life-long disease.

Landen is turning 3 years old on April 29th. For his birthday we are celebrating the courage and strength he continues to show every day while struggling with this disease by walking for hope and raising money to help the Center for Pediatric Inflammatory Bowel Disease at CHOP continue to research and hopefully soon discover a cure for IBD. Landen has endured so many things a baby/toddler should not, yet continues to smile, giggle, and enjoy the moments of every day.

Come Join Us As We Celebrate Landy's 3rd Birthday By Walking For An Amazing Cause Or Donate To Support Our Landy!

How Your Donations and Support Help:

- IDB is growing at a rapid speed: Inflammatory bowel disease — which refers to both Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis — is the fastest-growing autoimmune disorder in children younger than 5.

- TOO many kids are suffering: Each year, the Center for Pediatric Inflammatory Bowel Disease at CHOP treats more than 1,400 young patients who suffer from abdominal pain, intestinal inflammation and other symptoms.

- To find a cure: The Pediatric IBD Center at CHOP is the largest and most advanced program in the world dedicated to the treatment and study of IBD in children. Today, expert gastroenterologists, geneticists, and researchers work together to evaluate each child’s DNA and microbiome with the goal of developing true personalized medicine.

Thank you for your support!
