For the month of May, I am participating in Children's Hospital of Philadelphia’s Daisy Day 31-Day Challenge. I have pledged to walk for 31 days to support the Transplant Program at CHOP. Hopefully my more athletic friends (and all my brothers and sisters) are not laughing too hard at my just one mile/day, but for me to do exercise every day for 31 straight days is a big deal. ;-) But I have already started practicing here in March!
Why I Participate I am doing this in memory of Tim. Our family members have been lifelong fans of CHOP, never knowing that nearly 10 years ago we'd have a long period of time there ourselves. The Transplant Program touches nearly every department in CHOP and requires an incredible degree of collaboration and medical team integration. Every right brain and left brain skill is needed for this program. I am raising money to continue the lifesaving work of this advanced and wonderful team.
How You Can Help Consider supporting me by making a tax-deductible donation as I take on the 31 mile Challenge to raise money for the Transplant Program at CHOP. But mostly, send a friendly note. I am not an exercise fan and I need to be converted!
