I’m raising money to help fight childhood cancer and fund lifesaving research and innovative care at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Join me – together we can make a difference!
Why this is so important to me:
This July marks 10 years since I was given a life-changing diagnosis of GBM Brain cancer. The 10-year mark that my oncologist told me I would need to reach before he would ever consider me “clear” seemed so far away then. Flash forward through numerous brain surgeries, radiation, chemotherapy, and rebuilding myself and my life. I’ve been able to experience and do things that I thought I might never be able to, and I have found an appreciation for the little things in my life. I want every child to have the same chance to live a happy, fulfilled life that I have been given. Raising money for treatment advancements and research is the best way to see this comes to fruition.
Patients Need Us Parents shouldn’t have to hear the words “your child has cancer.” However, 1 in 285 children in the U.S. will be diagnosed with cancer by the time they are 20 years old.
Breakthroughs Are Upon Us Every day, CHOP’s Cancer Center team is redefining what a cancer diagnosis means for a child. The center offers the most advanced therapies available anywhere in the world, including cutting-edge clinical trials that reprogram the body’s own immune system to fight cancer. CHOP’s Center for Childhood Cancer Research is one of the most distinguished research programs in the nation.
