Our son, Thomas, was born with 2 congenital heart defects (ASD and a PDA). Shortly after his 1st birthday, we were given another diagnosis of Pulmonary Hypertension. This is typically 94% fatal for pediatric patients who succumb to congestive heart failure. However, due to the phenomenal cardiac doctors, nurses, and staff at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, Thomas is getting ready to celebrate his 13th birthday in March. He continues to defy the odds and is a fighter! There aren't enough words to describe our gratitude for the CHOP Cardiac team for giving us one of our most precious gifts.
The time for breakthroughs is now. I am raising money to raise the spirits of our patients by supporting innovative cardiac research and care at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). Join me for a BIG workout to help little hearts!
Why I Ride
Little hearts need us: Parents shouldn’t have to hear the words “your child has congenital heart disease.” Yet, more than one million babies are born each year with congenital heart disease.
