Amanda was born with an unknown medical condition that sadly took her life in 2010. She fought like the sassy, spunky kid that we all know and love! The radiant light she brought to this world will continue to shine through all the people that she touched. During her many hospital stays at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), she would get to brighten her days by getting the opportunity to pick a toy from toy box for patients. Most days were filled with things Amanda did not get choose like procedures, feeling sick and countless medical tests. The opportunity to choose a toy allowed for Amanda to get say on what would make her smile a bit extra that day. Please help us in spreading those smiles to all the patients currently at CHOP!

In honor of Amanda’s 21st birthday, we are raising money that will directly support the toy box at CHOP. The toy box is filled with a variety of fun items that a patient gets to choose from to brighten their day. The Child Life, Education and Creative Arts Therapy team at CHOP provides care and support year-round to children and families in the hospital. With thousands of children visiting CHOP every year, the Child Life team has an ongoing need for toys, craft supplies, books, video games, microphones and movies.
