Tassos just celebrated his 13th Birthday. I am grateful for every single second of his life, and I have the doctors, nurses and researchers at Children's Hospital of Philadephia (CHOP) to thank for it. Without funds for research, children with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS) would never have had a chance at life. Without continued research, the progress that has been made in making sure Tassos and his peers with HLHS live long and healthy lives is in jeopardy.
Tassos belongs to the first wave of survivors of this terrible congenital cardiac defect. I know you will support me in my effort to raise money towards the "Single Ventricle Survivorship Program" in honor of my son, Tassos Andreas Kyriakides.
On Sunday, January 18th, I am joining my childhood friend, Kirstin, in running a 1/2 marathon- a well-earned and highly anticipated girls' weekend, but one I also want to put to good use. Please support me with any donation you can, small or large, towards the Single Ventricle Survivorship Program- so that Tassos and other children with the HLHS can live the healthy and long lives that they deserve.
Thank for your support, and thank you for your continued prayers for Tassos.
