For the month of May, we are participating in the 31-Day Challenge at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). We've pledged to get active for 31 days to support cutting-edge research and care at CHOP!
Why We Participate
For those of you who don't know me, my name is Adam Dyno. I am half deaf in my left ear ( by birth ). I have gone through a couple MAJOR surgeries as a child, and spent A LOT of time at CHOP.
As soon as I got the green light to stop coming down for my ear, my doc here in Scranton said I should return for what was believed to be some severe lower lumbar scoliosis. I wore a Boston back brace from age 8-14/15 years old and spent numerous trips.
To say that I received the best treatment, doctors in the US, ( parents and grandparents for the 100s of trips from Forest City > Philly, sometimes twice a month ) is truly, truly a blessing.
When I say, "Run for today, because tomorrow isn't guaranteed."...I mean that, because some day down the road, running career will probably end. So I'll just move on to the next best thing for me.
But for now, I'd like to go ahead and give back. For the 2nd year in a row, I'd like to complete the challenge I have set, except this time w/ a group and goal in mind.
How You Can Help Consider supporting us by making a tax-deductible donation as we take on our challenge to raise money for kids at CHOP. You can also join us along with thousands of others across the country and get active during May.
