For the month of May we are participating in the 31- Day Challenge at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) in memory of our son, John Michael Harper and ALL ANGEL BABIES.
We have pledged to get active for 31 days to support cutting- edge research and care at CHOP!
Why I Participate
In June 2020 we learned that our expected son, John Michael Harper, had a rare fetal condition of the urinary tract (LUTO). Being a critical situation, we felt fortunate that our home was located 40 minutes from national leaders in pediatric care at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP).
With an abundance of emotional support during this overwhelming perilous time in our lives, the team at CHOP navigated us through the complexities of a twin pregnancy and medical options. In the days and months following an unimaginable loss, our second family at CHOP supported us beyond any anticipated standard of care.
Many in our community do not have the resources to treat and protect their unborn children in similar circumstances. The passing of our son has inspired us to help such families access the same advanced care we gratefully received at CHOP. We know of no better way to honor John Michael’s memory than to acknowledge all ANGEL babies, their families and to support the medical personnel providing loving care for others with life-threatening conditions.
How You Can Help
Please support us in our cause. By joining our team (John Michael's Movers for Miracles) in 31 miles/days of activity or by making a tax- deductible donation through this page, you will help CHOP’s Center for Fetal Diagnostic and Treatment continue its mission of providing unparalleled family-centered care.
We are eternally grateful to our families, friends, Center for Fetal Diagnostics and Treatment and those watching from above for all of the love and support given to us throughout this journey.
