I hope this message finds you well. As a proud co-chair for the upcoming 2024 Cure Sickle Cell Walk and Fun Day and, more importantly, as a mother whose son bravely faces the challenges of sickle cell disease, I am reaching out to you with a heartfelt appeal for your support.

For the second year in a row, we are organizing our Sickle Cell Walk and Fun Day to raise awareness, funds, and support for those affected by this challenging condition. With each step we take, we are making strides toward a brighter future for individuals like my son and countless others who battle sickle cell disease every day.

My son's journey with sickle cell disease has shown me firsthand the challenges faced by individuals and families affected by this condition. It's a daily battle against pain and uncertainty, but it's also a testament to the strength and resilience of those living with sickle cell. Seeing my son navigate the challenges of sickle cell disease has only strengthened my resolve to make a difference. With your support, we can continue to provide hope, raise awareness, and work toward a future where sickle cell disease no longer poses a barrier to health and happiness.

Here's how you can help make this year's walk even more impactful:

  1. Join the Walk: Save the date (June 15) and join us at Citizens Bank Park for our Sickle Cell Walk. Your participation will not only show solidarity but also provide hope and encouragement to individuals and families affected by sickle cell disease.
  2. Donate: If you're unable to attend the walk in person, you can still contribute by making a donation. Your generosity will directly support research, patient care, and advocacy efforts, making a tangible difference in the lives of those living with sickle cell disease.
  3. Spread the Word: Share information about our walk with your friends, family, and colleagues. By raising awareness, we can reach more people and garner greater support for our cause.

Thank you for considering this important cause. If you have any questions or would like to get involved, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Warm regards,

Darlene
