Together We Shine: Support Team Evan at the 23rd CHOP Buddy Walk!
THANK YOU to all who have supported and will support Team Evan. Our goal this year is $23,000 in honor of the 23rd CHOP Buddy Walk.
As Evan heads into his last year of middle school, he continues to learn and grow, gaining confidence along the way. He served as bat boy for Indian Valley Middle School’s baseball team. He completed his second year of Special Olympics Unified Bocce, joined Special Olympics Bowling, continued TopSoccer, and competed in Special Olympics Track & Field events.
As we worked toward each milestone, we were grateful to have Children's Hospital of Philadelphia's Trisomy 21 Program by our side for the journey, supporting, encouraging, and celebrating. CHOP has been our home base. They've helped us identify and address health concerns like apnea and reflux. They've connected us with resources and research, and they've guided us in our approach to therapies to help Evan achieve his fullest potential.
The most important thing we experience with CHOP is that they celebrate Evan's successes like they're their successes too. Each time we interact with the CHOP Trisomy 21 Program, they are excited to learn about Evan's newest achievements.
Each year, Team Evan fundraises for the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia Trisomy 21 Program because we're grateful for the high-quality, multi-disciplinary care and for the caring individuals at the Program. They're leaders in the Down syndrome world, and the funds we raise will help them continue to lead, execute research, and continue the care they provide for the families in the Program.
We've set an aggressive fundraising goal again for Team Evan this year. This is our 14th CHOP Buddy Walk. We are hoping to raise at least $23,000 for the Trisomy 21 Program. It's one small way we can give back to the team that has given us so much. Thanks to the love and support of many, we hope to meet and exceed this initial goal.
Together we shine. With your help, we can make a difference in the lives of those touched by Down syndrome. Let's reach our goal and shine brightly for Evan and all the amazing individuals supported by CHOP's Trisomy 21 Program.
