TE Connectivity

2017 Parkway Run & Walk

Dear TE Berwyn and Harrisburg,

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness month. Each year at this time, TE employees show their support for children with cancer. Why? Because cancer kills more kids than any other disease. Since 2014, TE has sponsored the Parkway Run & Walk to raise money to help fight childhood cancer and fund lifesaving research and innovative care at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP).

I invite you to watch the video below. You will be inspired, and hopefully moved to join the TE Connectivity team. TE employees and my son Zak are in the video (:13 and 1:30-1:40) showing support for kids with cancer.

Why this is so important to me and our team:

Families Need Us
As many of you know, I lost my daughter to brain cancer when she was 11 years old. I've heard the words "your child has cancer” and so have many families and children. Cancer affects 1 in 285 children in the U.S. and is the #1 disease killing kids.

Breakthroughs Are Upon Us
CHOP’s Center for Childhood Cancer Research is one of the most distinguished research programs in the nation.Every day, CHOP’s Cancer Center team is redefining what a cancer diagnosis means for a child. The center offers the most advanced therapies available anywhere in the world, including cutting-edge clinical trials that reprogram the body’s own immune system to fight cancer.

You Can Help Make an Immediate Impact Today
100% of every donation will help CHOP make important breakthroughs in understanding the causes of childhood cancer – and developing treatments that improve cure rates.

If you can't be at the Parkway Run & Walk, please consider a donation. Thank you!
