We’re raising money to help fight childhood cancer and fund lifesaving research and innovative care at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Join us to help CHOP make a difference today!
Why this is so important to our team:
Bridget, Ricky, Deirdre and I have been struck personally with the recent diagnosis (August 24, 2017) that our 6 year old daughter/sister Maren has been diagnosed with type AML Leukemia. The best description I can come up with is as if we are trying to hold onto a freight train going 1000 mph. At first we were simply trying to hold on. The train is still going 1000 mph we have just learned how to hold on a little better.
While our heads were spinning CHOP took charge and got Maren started into treatment. CHOP has been the steady ship while our lives got flipped upside down. Everyone from the doctors, nurses, aides, child life, social services, environmental services and many more who make CHOP go have been fantastic.
Bridget and I have witnessed first hand how great CHOP is helping children and families in need. We have a long road still ahead of us to help Maren heal but we hope to be able to give back to those who have helped us in our time of need.
We would love to have you join us in the Parkway 5k Run/Walk. If you cannot join please consider a donation to those who help others in their time of need.
