This page has been setup in memory of Louis A. McCloskey, Jr. ,"MAC", who passed away on Sunday, November 12, 2017. Louis was in a long, hard, courageous fight for five years battling multiple medical complications. In 2012, he was admitted to the hospital for liver issues but found out he needed immediate quadruple bi-pass surgery. Following that surgery, he was placed on a liver transplant list. On January 2, 2013, he received his new liver. Louis had a hard recovery from this surgery and during the years that followed he developed issues with his lungs and kidneys.
Louis was a very special person. He was in a constant struggle to attempt to regain his health and the quality of life he had previously enjoyed. Yet he was never focused on himself as much as he was concerned for the well-being of his family and friends.
Recently, Louis asked that in lieu flowers at his funeral that donations be sent to CHOP in honor of his nephew Michael Hoffman that was a true hero. Michael fought OMS for many years and came out a survivor and hero in everyone's eyes.
