Team Captain Kaylee's Crew 2024 Walk for Hope

Kaylee was first diagnosed with Very Early Onset Inflammatory Bowel Disease (VEO-IBD) at 11 months old after suffering severe pain and symptoms since she was just 4 months old. She has had 27 infusion treatments at the hospital since then, countless need pokes, 4 colonoscopies, MRI, Ultrasounds, contrast imaging X-rays, restrictive diet, and the list goes on. Needless to say, our girl is a WARRIOR. In December, a few days before her 4th Birthday we got the best news... Kaylee is in REMISSION!

But, our fight does not stop to find a cure. She will continue treatments to keep her in remission.

CHOP is a leader in IBD research, working to find new breakthrough treatments and to help find a cause and cure for IBD. Their research is largely funded by an annual fundraiser, Walk for Hope, which this will be our 4th year participating in.

Breakthroughs need funding: The past few years have produced an explosion of knowledge about the genetics of IBD and expanded treatment options. Today, expert gastroenterologists, geneticists and researchers work together to evaluate each child’s DNA and microbiome with the goal of developing truly personalized medicine. Walk for Hope funds these discoveries – taking us one step closer to a cure.

Thank you for your continued support of Kaylee, whether prayers or financial for this fundraiser.

With Love,

Kaylee, Jaclyn, Eric (Jackson and Charlotte)
