Dear Friends,
Get ready for action! The STHS Girls Lax Team is gearing up to Compete for a Cause on May 6th at Springfield Stadium. Our mission? To make a lasting impact on kids and their families as they navigate the challenges of diabetes.
So, why are we diving headfirst into this competition? Because we know firsthand the struggles of living with diabetes. But here's the good news: the Diabetes Center at CHOP has our backs! I'm Frankie Rizzo, a sophomore at Springfield Township High School, and I've been managing Type 1 Diabetes since June 2021.
Thanks to the incredible support from the CHOP Diabetes Center, I've discovered that diabetes doesn't have to hold me back. With their guidance, I've continued to pursue my passion for lacrosse alongside my amazing teammates at STHS Girls Lax.
Now, it's our turn to give back. We're teaming up to raise funds for the Diabetes Center because we believe every kid deserves the chance to thrive, regardless of their diabetes diagnosis.
By donating to the Diabetes Center, you're not just supporting us—you're empowering families like mine to seize control of their diabetes journey and embrace life to the fullest.
Join us as we Compete for a Cause. Together, we're already champions for the kids treated at CHOP's Diabetes Center. Thank you for your unwavering support!
Warmest regards,
Frankie Rizzo and the STHS Girls Lax Team
