I am excited to announce my participation in the 2024 TCS NYC Marathon on November 3rd, where I will be running for Team CHOP in support of the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia!

As some of you may know, Children’s Hospital is an organization very close to my heart as my young cousin, Rosie, has been a patient there most of her life.

In 2019, my Uncle Mike and Aunt Julia noticed Rosie (then 11-months old) was developing a head preference to one side. Their visit to CHOP for examination revealed devastating news - Rosie had a tumor in her brain. She was diagnosed with Atypical Teratoid/Rhabdoid Tumor (ATRT), an exceedingly rare and aggressive form of brain cancer. Since then, Rosie has endured numerous treatments, including multiple brain surgeries, chemotherapy, and radiation which often necessitated extended stays in the hospital.

Though she continues her fight against ATRT, Rosie is the happiest, sweetest six year old out there. Thanks to the dedicated work of Rosie's team at CHOP, she is able to enjoy precious moments with her older sisters, Dani and Elizabeth.

Rosie's journey is just one among many that I am privileged to support through this fundraising endeavor. 100% of all donations will benefit Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

Last but not least - honorable mention to my younger sister, Meghan, who has been a nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at CHOP for the last 5 years. Meg, I am so incredibly proud of the work you do every day. You make the world a better place!

Now let’s do this!!! Thank you everyone for your love and support

Love,

Caroline
